Key Responsibilities
As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Your responsibilities will include:
Financial Record Keeping: Accurately record daily and monthly journal entries as assigned.
Reconciliation Expertise: Perform comprehensive and timely reconciliations of cash and bank balances, ensuring readiness for monthly financial closes.
Vendor Collaboration: Engage with the US Accounts Payable (AP) team on vendor payments, resolving queries efficiently and following up on outstanding items.
Multi-Currency Operations: Confidently work with transactions involving multiple currencies.
Data Analysis & Insights: Independently analyze financial data to provide meaningful insights and support informed decision-making.
Internal Controls: Ensure robust internal controls are maintained for all assigned tasks.
Audit Support: Provide essential support during interim and year-end audits.
Process Improvement: Proactively identify and recommend enhancements to accounting processes for improved efficiency and timely deliverables.
Project Participation: Assist with various ad-hoc projects, including automation initiatives and ERP system implementations.
What We're Looking For (Requirements)
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is essential. A CA or equivalent professional qualification is required.
Experience: 2-4 years of progressive professional experience, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked with the General Ledger (GL) team of a US-based Multinational Corporation (MNC).
Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills are critical for interacting with various internal teams and external partners.
Core Competencies: Demonstrated strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the proven ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
Business Acumen: Possess the business acumen necessary to effectively interact with diverse teams within Priceline (e.g., product teams like hotels, flights, cars, packages; marketing, customer care, technology) and third-party partners.
Preferred Systems Experience: Experience with Oracle, BlackLine, and OneStream is highly preferred.
